Time is right for an Irish language secondary school in Derry – Delargey

The Stormont Assembly has been told the time is right to start discussing the establishment of an Irish language secondary school in Derry.

The issue was raised this week by Foyle MLA Padraig Delargey, who said the opening last week of a new Irish language nursery school on Derry’s Waterside was a hugely significant development.

He says with four Irish language schools in the city serving the pre-school and primary sectors, a secondary school is a feasible option……..
