Uisce Eireann says customers in Clonmany and Meendoran can look forward to more confidence in their water supply this summer.
Works began on Monday to replace more than 2.5km of old water mains.
The works will take place along the R238/L1191 from Meendoran Bridge to Ballyliffin Junction in Clonmany as part of Uisce Éireann’s National Leakage Reduction Programme.
To safely and efficiently deliver this project, traffic management will be in place in the form of a temporary road closure along the L1191 until August 15th.
Traffic will be diverted during these periods and local and emergency access will be maintained at all times.
Farrans Construction is carrying out the works on behalf of Uisce Éireann, with the project expected to be completed by early 2026.
Uisce Eireann says Homes and businesses situated in Ireland’s most northerly peninsula in Donegal will benefit from this significant investment, which will see new modern pipes installed to deliver a more reliable water supply.
