The new Cathaoirleach of the Inishowen Municipal District is Cllr Martin Farren, with outgoing Cathaoirleach Cllr Martin McDermott elected as his deputy.
Accepting the position, Cllr Farren stressed the importance of the Inishowen peninsula within Donegal, saying he would be prioritising the defective blocks issue.
Cllr Farren says all members of the MD put on the Inishowen jersey and take the peninsula’s concerns to Lifford, and he wants to see that continue through his period in the chair.
