Ireland manager Martin O’Neill says that he’s prepared to play a waiting game to establish if John O’Shea will be able to play any part in Ireland’s Euro2016 play-off against Bosnia.
Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce has said that O’Shea’s hamstring injury has settled down – but hasn’t given any return date for the defender.
The 34-year-old is suspended for the first-leg of the play-off but it’s hoped he’ll be available for the second leg and he’s been included in a 39-man provisional squad named by O’Neill this afternoon, however Stephen Quinn has been ruled-out through injury.
The uncapped trio of Eunan O’Kane, Alan Judge and Adam Rooney have also been included in the panel.
Shay Given , Seamus Coleman, Shane Duffy, James McCarthy, Aiden Mcgeady, James Mcclean, are also included.
