Derry City continued their fine run with a 1-0 win at home to Bohemians at the Brandywell on Friday night.
Rory Patterson hit the only goal of the game after 14 minutes when he steered the ball in from the left edge of the six yard box.
Barry McNamee tried to round the goalkeeper on the edge of the box but he lost his footing and luckily the ball fell to Patterson who couldn’t miss.
Derry were less effective in the second half of a physical contest.
Bohs worked hard in the second half to try and get back into the game. Gerard Doherty was never seriously tested during the game.
The win keeps Derry at the business end of the table with 20 points from nine league games, two points behind leaders Dundalk who beat Shamrock Rovers 2-0.
