Donegal County Councillors have agreed a motion with a view to ensuring companies are awarded contracts by the council recognising unions, collective bargaining and the Labour Relations Commission.
The council executive said the motion from Councillor John Campbell would be hard to implement but he noted he is confident the executive would fulfill the intention of the motion.
The passing of the motion was welcomed by the TEEU whose member Brian Nolan attended the meeting:
