With Donegal set to regroup under new manager Declan Bonner in the coming weeks, the county has been boosted by the news that Odhran MacNiallais and Leo McLoone are set to return after taking a year away from the senior panel.
Both players had spent the summer in America.
Declan Walsh who won an All Ireland in 2012 is back while Stephen McBrearty and Kilcar clubmate Ciaran McGinley will also return.
Milford’s Gary Merritt and Four Masters Kevin McBrearty get first shouts to the senior squad.
Stephen McMenamin (Red Hughs) Tony McClenaghan (Moville) and Daire O’Baoil (Gaoth Dobhair) have also been called up.
A number of young players will be brought in to train with the squad. Collective training starts on 1st December.
The draw for the Ulster Championship took place on Thursday night. Donegal have been handed a home tie with Cavan in the preliminary round.
