Buncrana’s newest Town Councillor will take his seat this evening. Sinn Fein’s Ciaran Mc Laughlin will be formally coopted onto the council to replace his party colleague Padraig Mac Lochlainn, who is now a member of Dail Eireann.
This means Sinn Fein have the two newest members on the authority – Cllr Mary Kelly was coopted just last June, to replace Darren Lalor, who resigned for personal reasons.
Ciaran Mc Laughlin says there’s a steep challenge ahead, particularly as he is replacing one of the hardest working politicians Inishowen has ever had……
