Full Capacity Protocol implemented at LUH

The Saolta Hospital Group says the Emergency Department at Letterkenny University Hospital is extremely busy this afternoon.
Management at the hospital have confirmed this afternoon that the Full Capacity Protocol has been implemented today, and all efforts continue to be made to identify patients who are appropriate for discharge.
People attending the Emergency Department at Letterkenny University Hospital are being warned that they can expect delays, with management urging people to only attend the Emergency Department in the case of real emergencies.
In the first instance, they say, people should contact their GP or GP Out-of-Hours service in the first
instance.
Letterkenny University Hospital has again apologised to all patients and their families for any distress caused as a result of these delays.
