Senator O’Domnhaill backs party leader as Fianna Fail decide not to contest election

The Fianna Fáil leader is denying the party’s finished as a political force, after deciding not to contest the Presidency in October – the first time in its history it won’t contest a national election.
The Parliamentary Party agreed not to run a candidate – and the leader says the focus has to be on renewing and rebuilding Fianna Fáil and regaining the trust of the people.
Party leader Micheal Martin says he will advise members how to vote in the election once nominations close, at the end of next month.
And Donegal Senator Brian O’Domnhaill has agreed with his party leader, and he says Fianna Fail are certainly not finished……
