Confirmation is expected this afternoon that homeowners affected by Mica in Donegal, Mayo and elsewhere will be exempted from paying Property Tax.
That was one of the key points identified by the Mica Action Group and others when contrasting the treatment of Mica homeowners with that of those affected by Pyrite in Dublin and Leinster.
The exemption is expected to be confirmed when Revenue officials address the Joint Oireachtas Committee this afternoon.
