Donegal’s Jodie Loughrey was among the goals as the Republic of Ireland Women’s U-16 team defeated Wales 4-1 in Newport yesterday.
The former Buncrana Hearts player, who now plays with the Donegal Ladies U-17 team, was captain of the Ireland team
Meanwhile Sean Patton of Finn Harps came on as a second half substitute as Republic of Ireland U-16s beat Norway 3-0
The match was the first of three friendly games taking place this week in Spain.
