Slowdown in number paying the Household Charge

There seems to be a slowdown in the numbers registering to pay the new household charge.
To date, just over 891 thousand homeowners have paid the 100 euro tax.
That’s about 1,000 more since yesterday.
The Local Government Management Agency, who have been tasked with collecting the charge, say just over 1,000 households a day have paid the charge, since the deadline kicked in on March 31st.
