Irish Water has reiterated that they are working to lift the Boil Water Notice in Lettermacaward as soon as possible.
Work is ongoing at the Water Treatment Plant to service the clarification unit and replace filter media. This work is expected to continue throughout this month.
The notice which was put in place on August 12th is affecting around 2,200 customers in the Lettermacaward, Portnoo, Rossbeg, Cleangort, Doochary, Meenacross, Dooey, Glenties Road, Maghery and Falmore areas.
The utility has confirmed that affected business customers will receive a 40% rebate for the duration of the boil water notice.
