A West Tyrone MLA says that some residents in Strabane and the surrounding areas have had to resort to drinking bottled water,due to the pungent smell of chlorine coming from their water taps.
The problem has affected homes in Strabane and Sion Mills for some time, but in the last few days the smell has become noticeably worse.
Sinn Fein’s Maolíosa McHugh says the response from NI Water has not been good enough, despite numerous complaints being made:
