A pre-election debate heard how a secondary school in Letterkenny is struggling with a lack of SNA’s.
Loreto Milford has a student population of over 800, but is only entitled to 5.5 special need assistants.
As a result, one member of staff has had her timetable changed six times since the start of the academic year.
Fiona Sheils is also an SNA at the college.
She says there is an imbalance between Deis schools and community schools and that needs to be rectified:
