The 39-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the hoax security alert in Strabane on Tuesday has been released on bail to allow for further inquiries.
The PSNI is continuing the investigation into the device that was found in the Evish Square area.
Those who noticed any suspicious or unusual activity or believe they have information that could be of use are asked to contact the police.
