Donegal senator opens up about her experience living with COPD

A Donegal senator who was diagnosed with COPD in her late twenties has made an impassioned plea in the Seanad for more investment in services for people with chronic lung problems.

Senator Eileen Flynn said she regularly has to pause to catch her breath while speaking in the chamber, and feels the pressure on her lungs on daily basis.

She told senators that given her family history, she fears for her own future………………
