144 homes and businesses are likely to remains without power in the vicinity of Buncrana for much of the day.
At the height of the outage, there were 1,370 premises affected, but 1,226 had their power restored this morning.
ESB Networks had hoped the outstanding issues would be resolved by 11.30 this morning, but the revised estimated time is now 8pm.
