
Driving tests are set to be disrupted by strike action next week.
Testers working for the Road Safety Authority are staging a work stoppage next Friday.
Members of the Fórsa trade union are concerned about the number of uninsured cars presented by people to sit their tests in, and the lack of a verification system or indemnity scheme which they say puts testers at risk.
Talks to resolve the dispute broke down at the WRC last night, with the strike due to begin from 8.15 next Friday morning.
