Detectives investigating a security alert in County Derry have confirmed it was a viable device.
It was discovered in the Oakvale Terrace area of Upperlands at around 5.10pm yesterday evening.
The area was sealed off for examination by the North’s bomb squad.
There is still a police presence in the area and the PSNI is appealing for information.
