€5.25 million worth of cocaine has been seized in County Monaghan.
It was found after Gardaí from the National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau intercepted a number of vehicles and searched a business premises yesterday.
A man in his 50s and a woman in her 40s were arrested and are being questioned at Garda stations in Monaghan.
The operation was supported by the Custom Revenue Service, local gardaí in Monaghan, and international partners from the Belgian Federal Maritime Police.
