Buncrana Gardaí have seized a van after the owner tampered with the Certificate of Roadworthiness.
The Roads Policing Unit stopped them in the Lifford area yesterday.
The CRW disc displayed on the van had been altered to show an expiry date of the 8th of September 2026, when it actually expired on the 8th of September 2025.
The van has been seized and the driver will receive a court date in due course.
Gardaí are urging motorists never to take any risks when it comes to road safety.
