More than half of vehicles tested in Donegal failed their NCT during the month of May, according to new figures.
A total of 5,303 tests were carried out, with 2,724 vehicles failing.
Of these 411 were classified as dangerous.
The highest number of tests was recorded in Letterkenny, where 2418 vehicles were inspected, followed by Donegal Town with 1357.
The Derrybeg test centre carried out 765 tests, while Carndonagh completed 763.
