Garda body cameras to be rolled out nationwide

Gardaí are preparing to expand the use of body cameras across the country.

€150 million will be spent on rolling out body-worn cameras and an advanced digital evidence management network over the next 15 years.

The proof-of-concept phase in 2024 saw 600 cameras used in Garda Stations across Dublin, Limerick and Waterford
