Fuel excise reductions to remain in place for another month before a phase out by year’s end

Motorists will continue to benefit from reduced fuel excise duties until September.

Coalition leaders last night agreed to extend the current cuts by another month, with the measures now due to expire on September 1st.

Cost of living reductions will then be phased out over the following four months, until the end of the year.
