Durkan concerned for services after Derry bus hijack

Foyle MLA Mark H.Durkan says an attack on a bus on Glengalliagh Road last night could have long term implications for the area.
Three masked men, one of them armed with a handgun, boarded the bus at around 10.30 last night. A passenger was ordered off, and the driver was told to move the bus into the middle of the road where it was set it alight.
Glengalliagh Road remains closed this morning.
Mark H.Durkan says talks are underway between Translink and union representitives, with fears that services may be curtailed in light of the risk of further attacks.
He says the incident has also disrupted students doing GCSE music exams at St Brigid’s School.
