Letterkenny Town Council is to hear calls for the holding of ‘town hall’ type meetings which would allow the public engage more with the council.
The proposal is coming from Councillor Dessie Larkin who wants the meetings in different areas of the town at least once a year.
He believes the council should be more accountable to the people:
