The Kilcar man is mired in controversy after his short lived involvement on the board of the Irish Museum of Modern Art, which allowed him to seek the nomination.
Gerard Craughwell – a former President of the Teachers Union of Ireland – is running as an independent candidate with support from Fianna Fail.
He’s meeting his legal team today to discuss his next move, but he’s adamant he won’t let the matter lie, describing the entire saga as ‘outrageous’……..
