Calls have been made for Donegal Co Council to hold a public inquiry into a right of way to a beach being obstructed at a beach in Carrigart.
Work is ongoing at a 180-acre beach resort and golf course at Aughadahor Beach in Carrigart.
T&G Properties Limited has erected two gates at the building site preventing local people from accessing the beach.
The ongoing stand-off between developers and residents has been going on 14 months now.
Cllr Frank McBrearty says the Council should seek legal opinion regarding the situation in Carrigart.
He says residents need to know what rights they have legally………..
