Ant-Man director back for the sequel

Ant-Man
Ant-Man was more fun that it had any right to be, after a long and torturous production which saw the loss of writer/director Edgar Wright.
Peyton Reed stepped into that vacuum an managed to conjure up an entertaining heist caper with some funny scenes and a likeable lead, plus an hilarious turn by Michael Pena. And it seems Reed enjoyed the first film so much that he’s back for the sequel.
Ant-Man and the Wasp has only just been announced for a 2018 release date but Reed has already been offered the job to helm. Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly are set to return and the director is apparently a huge Ant-Man fan so surely he’s a safe bet to sign on. And will almost three years to get everything in order, it’s likely to be a far less stressful job this time around.
Ant-Man and the Wasp will be part of Marvel’s Phase 3 sequence of films which kicks off with Captain America Civil War in 2016 and finishes with Inhumans in 2019. But we won’t have to wait too long to see Paul Rudd in his incredible shrinking suit again, he’s set to pop up in Civil War in a few short months.
Ant-Man and the Wasp will release in July 2018.
