It’s been confirmed that a beach wheelchair is to be deployed to Donegal during the summer season next year.
The beach wheelchair is being provided by Donegal County Council and the Loughs Agency will most likely be available at either Culdaff or Shrove beach.
It will operate as a pilot scheme, with the hope of providing more across the county if successful. A pilot project has already been successfully run at Curracloe in County Wexford (Pictured).
Cllr. Jimmy Kavanagh tabled the motion at July’s Council meeting, he says many families who were unable to attend the beach prior to this will now be able to do so…..
