Arranmore Island to receive €45,000 in funding for work on busy stretch of road

Minister of State for Gaeltacht Affairs, Joe McHugh, has announced funding of €45,000 for repair works to be carried out on “Bóthar an Chomharchumainn” on Arranmore Island.
A 550-metre stretch of road will be covered with bitmac as well as 30 metres opposite the playground.
It’s hoped the improvements will be beneficial both to locals and tourists.
Local businesswoman Noreen Muldowney says the road has been on the top of the priority list for quite some time and the work will have a huge impact on the surrounding area:
