The Health and Safety Executive in Derry has warned that since a change in wind direction overnight, more smoke from a fire in the Maydown area of the city is now being blown over the Inishowen area than was the case previously.
There is no hazardous or toxic waste in the former Brickkiln building on Elektra Road, where the fire has been burning since Wednesday.
Public Health Authprities say the advice continues to be that householders and premises in the area should keep windows and doors closed due to high levels of smoke.
