The number of Covid patients in hospital is at its lowest level in over eight months.
The figure has dropped to 99 – with 38 in intensive care.
New figures show also Ireland has the seventh lowest 14-day incidence rate of Covid in the EU – with Malta being the best.
Dr Denis McCauley, from the Irish Medical Organisation, says the decline in hospitalisations is welcome.
