Police deal with drug & driving related offences in Derry

 

Police have dealt with a wide range of issues from driving-related incidents to serious drug-related offences in recent days.

In response to concerns raised by the public, police recently detained several motorists driving without licences, and seized two cars.

Separately, police recovered a significant quantity of Class B drugs following a search of two properties in Strathfoyle and Caw.

An amount of Class B drugs following the stop and search of a vehicle in the Caw area was also seized.

In a statement, police say that drugs are a major area of concern for members of our community, bringing nothing but heartache to individuals and their loved ones who are inevitably left to pick up the pieces.

Through Operation Dealbreaker, police say that they remain committed to tackling the issue of illegal drugs.
