The Taoiseach says Ministers have been tasked with coming up with a plan to counter the rapidly rising cost of fuel.
Prices at forecourts have topped 2 euro a litre in some parts of the country as the impact of the war in Ukraine begins to be felt.
At a meeting of senior Ministers the Taoiseach asked them to devise a plan to deal with all fallouts from the invasion.
