Dr James McDaid ‘honoured’ to have O’Donnell Park stand named after him

A stand at O’Donnell Park, Letterkenny is to be named after Dr James McDaid this weekend.

Ahead of Sunday’s Donegal Galway game, St Eunan’s GAA Club will officially be unveiled.

Dr James McDaid, a former Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation is the club’s current honorary president and has served as St Eunan’s club club.

He told Greg Hughes today that he is very thankful to the people of Donegal for welcoming him to the county 50 years ago:
