A man charged with the sectarian murder of Derry man Paul McCauley has had his bail conditions relaxed at today’s sitting of Derry Magistrate’s Court.
Piper John McClements (25) with an address in The Fountain in Derry has been on bail since he was first charged with Paul McCauley’s murder.
At today’s sitting the conditions were relaxed allowing McClements to consume alcohol, to enter the Waterside area of the city and he no longer has to observe a curfew.
McClements must sign on at the Strand Road police station once a week and must have no contact with the victim’s family.
The court was also told that legal arguments in the case will take place on December 22.
