Finn Valley AC were among the winners at today’s National Athletics Awards in Dublin.
The Stranolar based club were named the Development Club of the Year at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Santry.
Ireland Olympic Team Manager Patsy McGonagle and Neil Martin received the award on behalf of the club.
Elsewhere, World University Games Champion Thomas Barr was named Athlete of the Year, edging out Letterkenny’s Mark English.
Mark, who was a silver medal winner at this year European Indoor Championships was named the u23 Athlete of the Year.
The Women’s Senior Team who won Bronze at the European Cross Country Championships won the Team of the Year award.
Letterkenny’s Ann Marie Mc Glynn was captain of the Irish team in Bulgaria last December, Teresa Mc Daid was also the coach to the team.
