Fianna Fail is to introduce a Bill to prevent Jobpath, from denying participants from taking up a place on a Community Employment Scheme, the Rural Social Scheme or the Tús Scheme.
The aim of the legislation is to give a legal entitlement to a person taking part in the programme to opt out of it, in order to take part in a desired scheme if a place becomes available.
It’s been claimed that dozens of participants are losing out each year under current regulations.
