Junior Health Minister, Jim Daly has been asked if key issues regarding the future of three community hospitals in Donegal are to be addressed.
Donegal Deputy Charlie McConalogue challeged Minister Daly for a commitment that Ramelton, Lifford and St Joseph’s Community Hospital would receive adequate investment to bring them up to HIQA standards and that the long stay beds at the hospitals would be secured.
Deputy McConalogue also pushed for assurances on a new community hospital in Letterkenny to be developed alongside the retention of the three other community hospitals:
