Trial of Donegal County Councillor set to resume today

The trial is expected to resume today of a Donegal County Councillor who’s charged with assault causing harm to two men in two separate incidents.
Kilmacrennan Cllr John O’Donnell appeared before Letterkenny Circuit Court yesterday.
One incident is alleged to have happened at the Sultan Takeaway on the morning of February 23rd 2015.
Mr O’Donnell also faces similar charges relating to another alleged incident in the Gortlee area of Letterkenny.
He denies the charges.
