The Donegal Abortion Rights Campaign Group says the focus now will be on ensuring free, safe, legal and local abortion for women who choose to avail of the services which are legally available for the first time in Ireland.
While welcoming legal access to abortion services becoming available on January 1st, Donegal ARC believe waiting periods between appointments are unnecessary and create additional barriers for those in rural areas.
Donegal ARC Spokesperson Sinead Stewart says this is particularly important for people in Donegal where 73% of the population resides in rural areas………
