Fewer people signing on in Donegal at the end of September

There were 21,608 people on the Live Register in Donegal at the end of September, 6.4% down on the August figure, but up 1.3% on the same period last year.
There were 6,321 people signing on in Letterkenny at the end of last month, down 5% on the August figure, but still 5.7% up on the same period last year.
There was also a 12 month increase recorded in Ballybofey with 2,686 on the register, up 2.5%. Marginal increases were recorded in Dungloe with 2,242 signing on and Killybegs with 1,248 on the register.
In Buncrana, the number on the register fell by 3.3%, with 4,737 people signing on. There were marginal falls in Dunfanaghy with 1,573 people signing on and Donegal Town with a total of 1,286.
