Appeal reissued over stolen machinery

Police have reissued an appeal over stolen machinery from a premises in Strabane.

A lorry, which was also stolen in raid, was later recovered in Donegal.

A blue DAF lorry, containing a JCB telehandler, a JCB Micro digger and a JCB Micro dumper, was reported stolen from premises on Dock Street on 18th March, however, it’s believed the theft occurred at around 9:30pm on 16th March.

While the lorry was recovered in Donegal, the machinery – which has significant value – has yet to be located.

Police say that Strabane town centre would have been busy with people attending a fun fair when the theft was being carried out.

Anyone who was in the area around this time and noticed anything out of the ordinary, or anyone who believes they saw the lorry being taken are being urged to get in touch with police.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the stolen machinery or if you’re offered similar items for sale in suspicious circumstances are being urged to contact police on 101.
