Speculation mounting of election before Christmas

There’s growing speculation the General Election will be held before Christmas.

The Dail has passed two major pieces of legislation to pave the way for an election.

The Taoiseach has also cancelled a planned trade mission to Poland at the end of the month.

While the Tanaiste’s told the Irish Times it’s reasonable to assume there would be an election before Christmas if all the required legislation was passed.
