An investigation is underway following the discovery of a suspect device in County Clare yesterday.
The discovery was made inside a car parked at Slí an Sionnhaigh in Shannon yesterday afternoon.
The Army’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal team was called in and removed the car for further examination.
The road was closed for a time and cordon was put in place, but it has since reopened.
