There’s renewed calls for a review of fire service provision on Donegal islands.
Currently, a red light service operates on the county’s two main islands, Tory and Arranmore, meaning limited fire service provisions are in place.
Councillor Micheal Choilm MacGiolla Easbuig claims that in other parts of the country, islands have a full fire service.
He says it’s vital to ensure the safety of islanders that adequate measures are in place should an emergency arise:
