The results of a HIQA inspection at Radharc Na Cé have been published today.
One non-compliance was noted at the designated centre for adults with disabilities in the area of notification of incidents.
The complaints procedure was found to be substantially compliant, and the remaining nine regulations were totally compliant.
There were four residents present during the unannounced inspection in February.

Re HIQA Inspection – Radharc na Cé – OSV-0002506
Radharc na Cé is a designated centre managed by the HSE and provides residential support for four residents with an intellectual disability.
HIQA undertook an unannounced inspection of Radharc na Cé designated centre on the 18th and 19th of February 2025 and the report was published on the HIQA website on the 5th of June 2025.
Radharc na Cé consists of a newly refurbished four bedded bungalow, located in a residential area of a rural town in Donegal and is near amenities such as shops, leisure facilities and coffeeshops. A dedicated team of nurses and healthcare assistants provide 24/7 support to residents. Transport is provided to accommodate residents accessing community based facilities and activities.
The HIQA inspector noted in the report “Residents living in Radharc na Cé had a range of complex health and social care needs and the inspector foundthat they were provided with a good quality service by a competent staff team”. It was also noted that “Residents were supported to engage in planned day services, home-based activities and to participate in community events in line with their interests.” The inspector spoke with three resident representatives who said “that their family members were happy, that they participated in lots of activities and that they are well looked after by fantastic staff”.
During the inspection, eleven regulations were inspected, nine of which were fully compliant, one substantially compliant and one was to be deemed non-compliant.
The HSE has undertaken the following actions to ensure full compliance within this centre:
•All regulatory notifications will be submitted within the required timeframe.
•Complaints will be managed effectively and in accordance with HSE Policy.
•Management have completed refresher training on complaint handling.
